200yrs ago, Kadapa was under ruling of Navab’s. One day Kadapa Navab got a dream in which Sri Lord Anjaneya Swamy Appeared and instructed him by saying “ I m situated in the nearest cannal, every day people are hitting on my back when they are washing the clothes, please help me out “.
The next day Navab went to the river side of the cannal and instructed guards to search every rock, soon they found the Vigraha of Lord Anjaneya floating on the water, as said in dream, people were using the Vigraha for washing clothes.
Soon, Navab constructed temple for the Lord Anjaneya and handed over to a Madhwa Brahmin family from “PADAKANDLA (village) “ to look after the temple.
